How to get location QR code on Google Maps
If you want the exact pin you see in Google Maps, copy its share link first.
- On Android or iPhone: open Google Maps, search for the place or long-press to drop a pin, tap Share, then Copy link. The link usually looks like

What is location QR code and how does it work?

At level H, up to about 30% of the code can be damaged or covered and it still scans. The other levels are L (7%), M (15%) and Q (25%). Printing and scanning tips
- Size: print at least 2 × 2 cm for cards held in the hand. For posters and signboards, make the code roughly one tenth of the scanning distance. A code read from 2 metres should be about 20 cm wide.
- Quiet zone: leave a clear margin around the code. Do not let borders or text touch it.
- Contrast: dark code on a light background works best. Avoid pale yellows, and avoid busy photos behind the code.
- Format: use SVG for print so it stays sharp at any size. Use PNG for WhatsApp, websites and social media.
- Test first: scan the final printed proof with an Android phone and an iPhone before printing in bulk.
Location QR code not scanning? Fixes
- Opens the wrong place: check the readout under the code. An address can match a different city with a similar name. Add the PIN code or use a Google Maps link or coordinates instead.
- Camera does not react: the code may be too small, blurry or low in contrast. Download a larger size or SVG, and print on matte paper to cut glare.
- Logo breaks it: use a smaller logo and keep error correction at H.
- Long link, dense code: long Google Maps URLs make busy codes. Use the short
maps.app.goo.glshare link or plain coordinates for a cleaner code. - geo: link does nothing: some scanner apps do not open
