From a list to a stack of labels
You give this page a list, one value per line, and it draws one code for each line. Typical lists are stock SKUs, asset tags, serial numbers, table numbers or a link per guest. Each code is an ordinary static code that holds its own value, so there is no redirect in between and nothing expires.
The steps are short:
- Paste the list, or click Upload a CSV or TXT file.
- Choose QR code or a barcode format such as Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 39 or ITF-14.
- Look over the preview grid. Rows that cannot be encoded are flagged with the reason.
- Choose PNG or SVG and press Download ZIP, or press Print labels / PDF.
Up to 1000 rows go through in one batch. For a longer list, split it and run it in parts. Codes are made in your browser and the list is not sent to the site.
Putting a name under each code
A sheet of 200 look-alike codes is hard to stick on the right shelf. Add a second column and that text prints under the code, on the label sheet and in the downloaded images. The first column is what gets encoded; the second is only a caption.
A list can look like this:

The scanned value is SKU-10021, and a person reading the label sees "Blue Mug 350ml". Untick the label option if you want bare codes. Files in the ZIP are named after the value, so SKU-10021.png is easy to find later.
Which format to pick

If the barcode is only for your own shelves, Code 128 is the safe choice. It takes mixed letters and digits such as INV-2026-0042, and almost every handheld reader accepts it.
Retail formats are different. The page only draws the picture, and it cannot give you the right to use a number. A product sold through supermarkets or marketplaces needs EAN or UPC numbers licensed from GS1 (GS1 India, in India). Invented numbers can clash with someone else's product. For EAN-13, UPC-A and ITF-14 you may leave off the last digit and it is calculated for you; if you type it, it is checked.
Starting from a spreadsheet
Keep values in column A and captions in column B. Then export:
- Google Sheets: File, Download, Comma-separated values (.csv)
- Excel: File, Save As, CSV (Comma delimited)
Upload that file, or copy the two columns and paste them. Delete the header row first, or it becomes one extra code.
If you need a run such as 1001 to 1500, build it in the sheet first by typing two numbers and dragging the fill handle down. The page does not generate number series by itself.
Before you print 500 labels
Print one sheet first and scan a few codes with the QR code scanner or a real handheld reader. A paper test costs one page; a bad run costs the whole batch.
Set Labels per row to 2 to 5 for the A4 sheet. Fewer columns mean larger codes, which scan more reliably. Keep a QR code at least 2 x 2 cm. Long values make a barcode wider, so give them fewer columns.
In the print dialog, set scale to 100% and turn off "fit to page", or the codes shrink. Choose "Save as PDF" as the printer to get a PDF. Leave the white margin around each code when you cut; trimming it close can make scans fail.
For label design software or a print shop, pick SVG in the ZIP. It stays sharp at any size.
Why a row is flagged
- Wrong length. EAN-13 needs 12 or 13 digits, UPC-A 11 or 12, ITF-14 13 or 14.
- Wrong check digit. Leave it off and let the page calculate it.
- Characters not allowed. Retail formats take digits only, and Code 39 rejects lowercase. Use Code 128 or QR code for mixed text.
- Blank lines or stray spaces. Clean them in the sheet and paste again.

Frequently asked questions
How many codes can I make at once?
Up to 1000 per batch. For a longer list, split it into batches of 1000.
How do I print text under each code?
Add a second column to your list or CSV, separated by a comma. That text is printed under the code as a label.
Can I get the labels as a PDF?
Press Print labels / PDF and choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog. You can set 2 to 5 labels per row.
Which format should I use for my own stock?
Code 128 works well for your own SKUs because it takes letters and digits and nobody has to issue the numbers. Use EAN-13 only with numbers licensed from GS1 India or your local GS1 office.
Do the codes expire?
No. Each is a static code that stores its value directly. If a link inside it changes, you need to make that code again.
Can I add a logo to the codes?
No, the bulk page makes plain codes. To add a logo and colours to one code, use the QR code generator.
Is my list uploaded anywhere?
No. The list is read and turned into codes in your browser, and nothing is sent to the site.
